Book Review: Consequence by Rachel Higginson

Consequence (The Confidence Game, #2)Consequence by Rachel Higginson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

** Note: I received a complimentary copy from the author in exchange for an honest review. **

Consequence is the conclusion of the author’s previous book, Constant. Consequence picked up where Constant left off. There was more of past and present chapters, this time primarily from Sayer’s POV. Caro did go from 100% feisty like in Constant to about 85% feisty in this book which slightly disappointed me. Her feisty attitude was one of the characteristics I loved about the character. We learned more about Sayer’s background and character, including how he got out of prison early. My kindle died at 85% through the story and I think that was worse than any cliff-hanger I have ever read! I very impatiently waited for it charge back up enough to finish the last 15% (give or take) because I had to know what happened! This book also was slow-moving at times, but as in the first one it was all important to the story.
