 A Witch's Curse
Release date 10/10

Hecate didn't dabble in dark magic. Watching her lover die at the end of another man's sword changed that. In a single act of vengeance, she turned her lover's killer into a werewolf and cursed him for eternity. It was A Witch's Curse to rival all others and it was her last act as a goddess.

Drago despised being a werewolf. He spent thousands of years searching for an antidote, only to discover that the witch who cursed him, also had to cure him. Unfortunately, that witch died lifetimes ago. Undeterred, he continued to search. Two years ago he found Hecate's remains lying in a crypt hidden deep within the Louisiana Bayou. Today, he watched a coven of witches bring her back to life.

He killed her lover. She damned him for all time. Can two souls who are destined to be eternal enemies, learn to forgive enough to live again?

Book Cover Reveal: Char by Mercy Amare

BLURB
I’m Charlotte York, but you can call me Char. My life is perfect. Except for the fact that my older sister is posing naked for Playboy. And my mom wants me to be just like her. Oh, and I caught my boyfriend cheating on me. But other than that, it’s definitely perfect... Until the paparazzi publishes a picture of me smoking weed.  Now I am being forced to move to NYC with my dad. Too bad I hate New York.
At least there is Tristan Becker. He makes NY better. But he won’t date me because he thinks my best friend is in love with me. Which is absolutely not true... Or at least I don't think it is.
As you can see my life is just... perfect.
Char is coming October 11.

Book Review: Tear Stained Beaches

 photo coverforwebfinal_zps5eeae811.jpg
Book: Tear Stained Beaches
Author: Courtney Giardina
Release Date: February 19, 2013

Synopsis:

Haylie Julian wants nothing more than to put her crumbling marriage back together. Chase used to be a fun-loving, light-hearted husband who has lately become an overworked attorney obsessed with climbing the corporate ladder. It isn’t long before Haylie starts waking up next to a man she barely knows. His secretive phone calls and late nights at the office leave her feeling alone and afraid of what he might be hiding. Ignoring his continuous pleas to just leave well enough alone, she continues to dig for answers…and discovers a heartbreaking truth.

Struggling with what she has just learned, Haylie sets off to a quaint little North Carolina beach town to decide if her marriage can survive. It isn’t long after she arrives that her world is once again turned upside down, as Chase’s secret stares her right in the face.

Tear Stained Beaches explores what happens when a marriage isn't the "happily ever after" you thought it was. Can trust be rebuilt? Can a wife forgive the ultimate betrayal?

My Review:

** I received a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. **

This book is not the genre I typically read. However, the book is well-written and I really liked it. My heart broke for Haylie. I really hoped that Chase's behavior was the result of something else like stress at work or something. When Haylie discovered the truth, my heart was so sad for her. I kind of guessed the twist that occurred in Kettlewood Island. Although, I guessed it from the beginning, it was interesting to see how long it took Haylie to discover it and how she would react to it.

"I let the tear fall onto my pillow. He'd never come home with the smell of perfume before. Nor had he ever been out past midnight."

The moment that poor Haylie knew what was happening, yet still trying to deny it.

"I started to feel like a failure. Why wasn't I good enough? What did I do wrong? What could I have done differently?"

The thoughts of hurt and betrayed woman.

"When you left, I realized what a mess I'd made. That I was running from a life I should've been thankful for. I just got caught up in the stress and the pressure that I cracked. But I see now that nothing Haylie, nothing in this world is worth losing you."

The words from a remorseful husband.

"From now on, I was looking only to the future, and I was ready to take on whatever it was that would be waiting for me."

Did Haylie forgive Chase? Or is she moving on without him? Well, you have to read the book to find out!

Book Review: Bare in Bermuda by Livia Ellis

Book: Bare in Bermuda
Author: Livia Ellis
Genre: Contemporary Romance, Romantic Suspense
Release Date: June 26, 2013

Synopsis:

Seriously devoted to her job, Dr. Henna Hirsch has strict standards for herself and for the man in her life--exactly the reason there isn't one. Everyone wants her to be more like her spontaneous and much younger sister who's marrying a man in Bermuda she's known for three months. On the way to the wedding, a mucho caliente cowboy in the airport lounge mistakes her for a prostitute, and she decides to let the moment take her where it will. Even if it's a mile high.
Wealthy Colombian widower Eduardo Salazar lost the love of his life and never expects to find love again. Until the whimsical beauty he mistook for a lady of the evening winds up on the same flight to Bermuda--and at the same hotel. Then he discovers their mutual agenda--the wedding of her sister and his son. A strong believer in destiny, he sets out to convince Henna they are meant to be.

My Review:

First off, I love that this book is not about 20-somethings or even early 30-somethings, but about the older and more mature ages. The story was well written and very believable for those who believe in fate and destiny; not so much for those who don't believe in those things. The "love" scenes were well written and very HOT the majority of the time. This is definitely an erotic romance book. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and will check out this author's other works.

Book Review: A Beautiful Mess by T.K. Leigh

 photo a-beautiful-mess-tk-leigh_zps6c9d4254.jpg
Book: A Beautiful Mess
Author: T.K. Leigh
Series: The Beautiful Mess Series #1
Genre: Contemporary Romance, Romantic Suspense
Release Date: August 27, 2013

Synopsis:
What happens when you lose everyone that promised they would always be there for you? How can you protect the few pieces of your shattered heart that remain?

Olivia Adler is a woman with a troubled past. After losing her parents at the young age of six and being raised by an uncle who she lost years later, she refuses to get attached to anyone, including friends. For the past decade, she has been able to remain unattached to any man, too worried about losing someone to get too close. Until Alexander Burnham walks into her life one night and changes everything. But he has issues of his own. And he’s keeping a secret that could turn her world upside-down. Will Olivia let Alexander in enough for him to get close and protect her from a force threatening her very existence, or will she push him away, scared of letting Alexander in, in order to protect her heart?

A Beautiful Mess is the first installment of a three part series sure to captivate the heart with a story of secrets, courage, and love.

My Review:
This book was amazing! I love the main characters, Olivia and Alexander. I may not like some of the decisions they made in this book, but I have my fingers crossed that by the end of the series the fallout of these decisions will be resolved. The storyline was wonderful and I felt it was told at just the right pace. And the love scenes between Olivia and Alexander? H-O-T! The secondary characters added just the right amount of back story to the main story. While I think that I may have some of the secrets figured out, I will more than likely go through more twists and turns in the coming books and realize there is more to it and my guesses were wrong. This story held my interest and I finished it in one sitting (well, took a dinner break but that was it). I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romantic dramatic story!

T.K. Leigh, otherwise known as Tracy Leigh Kellam, is a producer / attorney by trade. Originally from New England, she now resides in sunny Southern California with her husband, dog and three cats, all of which she has rescued (including the husband). She always had a knack for writing, but mostly in the legal field. It wasn't until recently that she decided to try her hand at creative writing and is now addicted to creating different characters and new and unique story lines in the Contemporary Romantic Suspense genre. When she's not planted in front of her computer, writing away, she can be found running and training for her next marathon (of which she has run over fifteen fulls and far too many halfs to recall). Unlike Olivia, the main character in her Beautiful Mess series, she has yet to qualify for the Boston Marathon.
