I’m going to begin this with the note that I read the entire Trinity Series in 4 days. Yes, the entire series. All 3 novels and the short story companion. That is how invested in this story I was. This is the third book in the series and its focus is on Amelia aka Mel. Her story with Alec’s right hand man, Leandro aka Leo, was introduced in the first book but was done mysteriously. The love story is one focus in the book with the other being finding the person trying to kill Mel. We learn a lot of back story on the characters, particularly Leo. This book is different from the rest as it is written from the viewpoints of Leo and Mel rather than in third person. However, there was no indication when the views change and you suddenly had to realize you were reading from a different viewpoint (meaning there was no heading titled “Leo” or “Mel”). I was reading an ARC so this may have changed in the final release of the book; I am not sure. As a whole, I loved this series. As in all organized crime stories, there is going to be some “collateral damage” aka dead bodies. There are some minor characters that end up dead in all the books, but I was really upset over the one in the beginning of this book; I really liked that character.
