Book Review: Ditched by R.C. Boldt

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

** Note: I received a complimentary copy from the author in exchange for an honest review. **

First, I had to get over the use of LSU instead of LSUS in reference to the college the heroine, Ivy, attended (yep, there’s a difference between the main LSU in Baton Rouge and the lower level LSU in Shreveport). Then, I had to remember not to compare the book to what I know about the NFL. After I got over those issues, I LOVED the story.
The hero, Beckett, is one of my favorite characters. Of course, I am partial to football players. I loved the business that Ivy and her “sister” formed. As for the secrets revealed at the end of the book, I was completely blindsided. I never saw the secret that Ivy and her friends uncovered coming. And I thought that the secret that Ivy was keeping about her past was slightly different than it turned out to be (I was going the darker route).
In general, I enjoyed this book. I liked Becket far more than I liked Ivy. I loved the relationship between Becket and his friends. I loved the patience Becket had with Ivy and her “no relationship” rules; sometimes it was far more than I would have afforded a person.
