Book Review: Finding Focus by Jiffy Kate

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

** I received a complimentary copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. **

I am going to start this review off very honestly. I signed up to review this book simply because it was primarily set in Louisiana (aka home for me). I am usually a sucker for books set in Louisiana. First, I was pleased to see some of the Cajun words I use used in the book. Second, I love the Landry brothers.

While I thoroughly enjoyed the book, I was at times caught off guard by the change of POV at times. The story was primarily told from Sheridan’s “Dani” point of view with a healthy dose of Micah’s POV. There were times after several chapters in Dani’s POV that I was confused when it flipped over to Micah’s. However, that did not affect the fact that I liked the story being told. In fact, I loved the story being told. This is a sweet, romantic (with a little heartbreak thrown in for good measure) rather than sex filled.

You instantly are able to choose a “team”, Graham (Dani’s current boyfriend and college sweetheart) or Micah (the Louisianan that Dani meets on her work trip).

This definitely a sweet read.
