My Review:

** I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. **

I was upset when Love Square ended. In fact, I had to wait a day before I would even consider reading the ARC of His Ever After. It took me until almost the end of the book to even be happy that Jacob was moving on. Seriously.

All through Love Square, I wanted Jacob with Sam. Period. Even more so in the final part of the book. So, to learn that in His Ever After that he wasn't going to be with Sam killed me. There was no way I was ever going to accept him with Brooke. Ever! But, enter Kara. Sweet, caring, a bit naive. She was Sam but without the baggage. Or so I thought without the baggage. While her baggage wasn't as much as Sam's, she still had some. I found myself silently rooting for Kara, even though I felt I was betraying Sam. While I strongly disliked the character of Brooke, I was saddened by her fate.

This book was perfectly written. In all honesty, even though this is Book 2 in the series, it can still be understood as a stand alone (BUT, I encourage you to read Book 1 first!). I felt like I went through every emotion with Jacob. By the end I was pleasantly surprised with the ending, even if it wasn't the ending I wanted.

I gave His Ever After ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
